The old mechanical "claw" is no longer sufficient
to properly clean out storm drain debris.
Bellemore Catch Basin Maintenance cleans catch
basins much more thoroughly using the latest
technology. We operate a state-of-the-art Vactor
truck with a vacuum-flush system that uses a
high velocity water stream and powerful vacuum
to collect wastewater and associated solids
into a tank on the back of the truck. We then
transport the contents and decant the water
elsewhere. The remaining sediment is disposed
of separately and does not go into the sewerage
system.
We also remove standing debris and litter from
the catch basin grate or cover, to assist in the
maintenance of the system’s designed flow rate.
